Colin Augustus is the Managing Director of S.C.O.R.E. Limited. Colin started in the oilfield business as a mud engineer trainee with BJ Services International S.A. Trinidad back in 1991. Eventually, he progressed and switched from trainee operator to field service operator in the pumping division later that year.
Over the span of 13 years working in BJ Services Company, Colin climbed the ranks quickly to become field service supervisor of Galeota Trinidad, district superintendent Galeota Trinidad in 1997, then district superintendent/business development Trinidad in early 2000. He then worked internationally with BJ Services Company as senior district operations manager of Duri, Sumatra, Indonesia in December 2000. This was BJ Services Company largest and busiest land based operation in East Asia.
Colin was then sent to East Kalimantan (Borneo) Indonesia as the senior district operations manager to manage Balikpapan, Tanjung, Palaran and Bunyu island operations. These were primarily cementing and fracturing district operations across the country. While living in Balikpapan Colin also supervised the construction of BJ Services newest facility in Asia.
Colin has worked in the engineering, sales and all operations disciplines of the pressure pumping industry. He is very safety focused and knowledgeable in standard procedures for pressure pumping services and has personally performed numerous Filtration, Well-bore cleanouts, Matrix Acidizing, Primary Cementing and Gravel-Packing jobs in Trinidad, the Gulf of Mexico and Indonesia.
Colin has also supervised extensive Coil Tubing, Nitrogen and Fracturing operations across Duri, Tanjung, Bunyu island and Bandung Java.
Colin and his family came back home to Trinidad in September 2004 where Colin accepted a completions well-site leader job with BP Trinidad & Tobago. Working for the one of the major oil & gas company’s in the world broadened Colin’s skills by helping him learn all aspects of completing a well, with focus on H.S.S.E., participating in the design, execution and evaluation stages of the Wireline, Slickline, Fishing, DST, TCP, Upper & Lower completion, and Well Services intervention work.
The Vision came to light in the middle of 2005. Colin had new perspective of a plan he was thinking of over the past five years. It was time to open a new and innovative service company named Special Consultants, Oilfield Rentals Equipment Limited!
The Mission was to bring new life to the local and international oilfield service industry sector by providing high quality oilfield services, equipment and personnel for client’s specific needs. Rondel “Benjie” Benjamin joined S.C.O.R.E. Limited in December 2005. He came over from Schlumberger with 9 years experience and had reached the position of Field Service Coordinator of Schlumberger Trinidad, supervising all major clients operations.
Benjie had started back in 1997 doing Drill Stem Testing, Tubing Conveyed Perforating, Well Test, Sand Control & Completion, Slick Line and Pumping Services. He is versed in the design and operation of temporary completions to evaluate production and reservoir parameters. Surface testing equipment i.e. - Separators, Flares, Choke Manifold, Guage Tanks, Surge Tanks and Sand Separators. He supervised the software simulation of the Charges /Gun System Performance (Penetration, Skin, area Open to flow, Productivity). Design of permanent and temporary Perforating Completion with: Automatic Release, Production Valves, Accessories, TCP with Coil Tubing and different detonation and gun systems.
Benjie has worked internationally in Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia and USA in sales, engineering, and various operating disciplines with extensive experience in well testing and design of permanent and temporary Perforating Completions. These worldwide experiences have provided him with vast knowledge of the completion and pressure pumping industry.
Benjie has a Mechanical Engineering diploma from John S. Donaldson Technical Institute. Port of Spain, Trinidad. He is fluent in Spanish and is also an avid Martial Arts expert. This talent enables him to be a disciplined and focused person. Clients consistently recognize the professionalism in which Benjie handles his business.
